4.3 The booking will be considered provisional until confirmed by Paddington Carpet Cleaners. Confirmation may be provided verbally or in writing, and may be subject to payment of a deposit where required.

6.4 The Customer must ensure that there is a supply of electricity and, where required, hot and cold running water at the Premises during the visit.
7. Pricing and Quotations
7.1 Prices may be provided as fixed quotations or estimates, depending on the information available at the time of booking.
7.2 Quotations are based on the information supplied by the Customer regarding the size and condition of the carpets, rugs, or upholstery, and the nature of any stains or soiling.
7.3 Paddington Carpet Cleaners reserves the right to revise the price where the information supplied is inaccurate or incomplete, where the condition or size of the items is materially different to that described, or where additional work is requested.
7.4 Any changes to the agreed scope of work during the visit may result in a revised price, which will be agreed with the Customer before additional work is carried out.

8.2 Paddington Carpet Cleaners may accept various forms of payment, such as card payments, bank transfer, or cash, subject to availability and any applicable conditions notified to the Customer.
8.3 For commercial Customers or larger projects, Paddington Carpet Cleaners may issue an invoice with specified payment terms. Late payment may result in interest charges in accordance with applicable UK law.
8.4 Any deposits paid are non-refundable except as required by law or where Paddington Carpet Cleaners cancels the booking without offering a reasonable alternative appointment.
8.5 The Customer may not withhold payment due to minor discrepancies or complaints. Any issues will be handled under the complaints and liability provisions in these Terms and Conditions.
9. Cancellations and Rescheduling
9.1 The Customer may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving Paddington Carpet Cleaners notice. The required notice period and any charges will be confirmed at the time of booking.
9.2 As a general guideline, cancellations or rescheduling made more than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment time will not usually incur a charge, unless a different period is specified at booking.
9.3 Cancellations or rescheduling made within 48 hours of the appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee, which may be up to the full quoted price, particularly where the Technician cannot be rebooked for another job.
9.4 If the Technician attends the Premises and is unable to gain access, or the Customer is not present where required, this may be treated as a late cancellation, and the applicable fee may be charged.
9.5 Paddington Carpet Cleaners reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a booking due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including illness, equipment failure, traffic disruption, adverse weather, or other operational issues. In such cases, an alternative appointment will be offered at the earliest opportunity.
10. Service Performance and Results
10.1 Paddington Carpet Cleaners will carry out the Services with reasonable skill and care, using appropriate equipment and cleaning products suitable for the task.
10.2 While every effort is made to achieve the best possible results, Paddington Carpet Cleaners does not guarantee that all stains, marks, or odours can be completely removed, particularly where they are old, set, or have been treated with unsuitable products.
10.3 Some wear, fading, or shading may become more visible after cleaning, and existing damage or weaknesses in fabrics or fibres may be exposed. Paddington Carpet Cleaners is not responsible for such pre-existing conditions.
10.4 Drying times depend on ventilation, temperature, humidity, and the nature of the carpets or fabrics. Any indications of drying times are estimates only and not guaranteed.
11. Complaints and Rectification
11.1 If the Customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, they must notify Paddington Carpet Cleaners as soon as reasonably practicable, and no later than 48 hours after completion of the Services where possible.
11.2 Where a complaint relates to the quality of the cleaning, Paddington Carpet Cleaners may arrange an inspection and, if appropriate, will offer a reasonable rectification, which may include a re-clean of affected areas.
11.3 The Customer must allow Paddington Carpet Cleaners an opportunity to rectify any issues before seeking alternative remedies, except where this is not possible or would be unreasonable.
12. Liability
12.1 Paddington Carpet Cleaners will take reasonable care to avoid damage to the Premises and its contents while carrying out the Services.
12.2 Paddington Carpet Cleaners is not liable for wear, discolouration, fading, shrinkage, or texture changes that arise from normal cleaning processes, where the risk is inherent in the fabric or carpet type or due to previous damage, poor fitting, or manufacturer defects.
12.3 Paddington Carpet Cleaners is not responsible for damage arising from the Customer failing to disclose relevant information, including known issues with colourfastness, pre-existing stains, or previous treatments.
12.4 Paddington Carpet Cleaners will not be liable for loss of profit, loss of business, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from the provision or non-provision of the Services, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
12.5 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.
13. Waste Handling and Environmental Regulations
13.1 Paddington Carpet Cleaners will handle any waste arising from the Services, including dirty water and residues, in accordance with applicable UK regulations and environmental best practice.
13.2 The Customer must not request or require Paddington Carpet Cleaners or its Technicians to dispose of waste in a way that breaches local regulations, including pouring waste into inappropriate drains or outside areas.
13.3 Where the Services generate solid waste such as removed carpet sections, underlay, or heavily soiled items, the Customer remains responsible for any special disposal required unless otherwise agreed in writing.
13.4 Paddington Carpet Cleaners may, at its discretion, arrange for additional waste collection or disposal services for an agreed fee, subject to regulatory requirements.
14. Health and Safety
14.1 The Customer must ensure that the Premises are safe for the Technician to work in, and must inform Paddington Carpet Cleaners of any known hazards, including loose floorboards, exposed wiring, slippery surfaces, or other risks.
14.2 Technicians are instructed not to move large or heavy furniture that may pose a risk to health and safety. Where heavy items must be moved, it is the Customer's responsibility to arrange this prior to the appointment.
14.3 Children and pets should be kept away from the work areas for the duration of the visit and until carpets or fabrics are sufficiently dry.
15. Insurance
15.1 Paddington Carpet Cleaners maintains appropriate liability insurance in respect of its Services, subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions of the policy.
15.2 Details of insurance cover are available on request. Any claims may be subject to the requirements and procedures of the relevant insurer.
16. Personal Data
16.1 Paddington Carpet Cleaners will collect and use personal data provided by the Customer for the purpose of managing bookings, delivering Services, processing payments, and handling enquiries or complaints.
16.2 Personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws. Information may be retained for a reasonable period for accounting and legal purposes.
17. Amendments to Terms
17.1 Paddington Carpet Cleaners may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version in force at the time of booking will apply to that booking.
17.2 Updated Terms and Conditions may be made available on request or through published materials.
18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
18.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any Agreement arising from them, are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
18.2 The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the Services, except where otherwise required by applicable consumer law.
19. Severability
19.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found by a court or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be deemed deleted, but the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
20. Entire Agreement
20.1 These Terms and Conditions, together with any written confirmation of booking, constitute the entire agreement between the Customer and Paddington Carpet Cleaners in relation to the Services and supersede any previous understandings or agreements, whether oral or written.
